RISA encourages a spirit of inquiry by imparting authentic Ayurveda learning
Ayurveda today is witnessing a resurgence and garnering the attention of people from all walks of life: right from a layperson who is looking to integrate the practice into his daily routine, to a healthcare professional who wishes to complement his treatment with the ancient science or even a researcher waiting to delve into its intricacies.

SUMMER SCHOOL

AN INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA

In 2016, RISA successfully completed a summer school programme introducing university students from Australia and Europe to Ayurveda. The 10-day programme also saw participation and appreciation from medical professionals and allied healthcare specialists like nutritionists, occupational  

therapists and yoga practitioners. The participants were given an overview of the Ayurveda health system through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on training and field visits. They also followed certain practices that are integral for wellbeing, including diet and yoga.

INTERNSHIP

RISA also conducted a one-week internship/observership for students of allied biomedicine who wished to learn more about Ayurveda and yoga. Exchange students from Ghent University, Belgium also routinely visit RISA, where they are introduced to – and learn about the tenets of Ayurveda.

ACCREDITATION’S

RISA has been accredited as Accredited Vocational Institution (AVI) of National Institution of Open Schooling (NIOS), under the ministry of HRD, Govt of India for the ‘Ayurvedic Therapy’ Vocational Education Course. RISA aims to strengthen its training programmes across cadres. The course will create skilled therapists who are well versed in traditional Ayurveda Therapies and will cater to the wellness industry in India as well as overseas. We are conducting 2nd batch of 1year Certification Course in Ayurveda therapies (panchakarma therapist training course).

ADLC

Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Counsellor (ADLC) Program

The ADLC program is designed specifically to help you understand the foundational principles of Ayurveda which includes the Panchamahabuta and the doshas – Vata, Pitta, Kapha. The Panchamaha buta, also known as the 5 Great States and dosha (Vata Pitta and Kapha) are the building blocks of Ayurveda upon which everything else (diet, lifestyle, treatment, herbs, daily and seasonal routine, and so on). At this program you will learn the theoretical principles as well as how to apply these principles to design a well-rounded diet and lifestyle for your family and friends.
