RISA encourages a spirit of inquiry by imparting authentic Ayurveda learning
Ayurveda today is witnessing a resurgence and garnering the attention of people from all walks of life: right from a layperson who is looking to integrate the practice into his daily routine, to a healthcare professional who wishes to complement his treatment with the ancient science or even a researcher waiting to delve into its intricacies.

In 2016, RISA successfully completed a summer school programme introducing university students from Australia and Europe to Ayurveda. The 10-day programme also saw participation and appreciation from medical professionals and allied healthcare specialists like nutritionists, occupational

therapists and yoga practitioners. The participants were given an overview of the Ayurveda health system through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on training and field visits. They also followed certain practices that are integral for wellbeing, including diet and yoga.

RISA also conducted a one-week internship/observership for students of allied biomedicine who wished to learn more about Ayurveda and yoga. Exchange students from Ghent University, Belgium also routinely visit RISA, where they are introduced to – and learn about the tenets of Ayurveda.
